Privacy
The short version: the images you drop into this site are processed by JavaScript running on your own machine and are never transmitted to us. We have no server that could receive them.
Your images
When you select a file, the browser reads it into memory in the current tab. Compression runs there. The result is written to a temporary object URL that only your browser can open, and it is discarded when you close or reload the page. No copy is sent over the network, and nothing is stored between visits.
This site is served as static files from a content delivery network. There is no upload endpoint, no database and no account system.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which target sizes people need. It records the pages you view, a rough location derived from your IP address, and your device type. It does not receive your images or their file names.
Advertising
Pages carry advertising, which keeps the tool free. Ad networks may set cookies to limit how often you see the same advert and to measure clicks. You can opt out of personalised Google advertising at google.com/settings/ads, and control cookies through your browser settings.
Advertising is placed around the tool, never inside the result area, and there are no pop-ups or redirects.
